SeismoMatch

SeismoMatch

SeismoMatch is an application to match earthquake accelerograms to a specific target response spectrum. Users load accelerograms and define target spectral response, and then determine spectral matching algorithm, adjust spectral matching period range, and set required tolerance; from there, spectral matching is executed.

Some important features:

  • Uses wavelets algorithm proposed by Abrahamson (1992) and Hancock et al. (2006) or algorithm proposed by Al Atik and Abrahamson (2010)
  • Simultaneous spectral matching of accelerograms, with creation of mean matched spectrum
  • Ability to use software combined with records selection tools and appropriateness verification algorithms
  • Capacity to read accelerograms saved in various text file formats, and of reading simultaneous multiple records of the same format
  • Ability to create target spectrum from a selection of more than 25 National Building Codes, by computing spectrum of specific accelerogram, or loading user-defined spectrum
